Gem & Mineral Society

The Lake Havasu Gem & Mineral Society of Lake Havasu City, Arizona is a non-profit organization, dedicated to educating our members and the community about gems, minerals, and fossils.

  • We have two locations: Havasu Rocks at Lake Havasu History Museum
    320 London Bridge Rd.
    Days: Tuesday through Saturday 11:00 – 3:00
    Crystals, geodes, cabochons, fossils, specimens, slabs, jewelry and books are for sale.

  • Lapidary Shop
    790 Lake Havasu Ave. Unit 2.
    Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 10:00 - 4:00
    Members can use all machines (cabochon creation, small saws and polishers) after taking the Safety class for a small hourly fee. We also have 2 tumblers that can be signed out for a period of time, but we do ask for a donation when doing so just in case of malfunctions. Stones can be cut for a fee.

  • Check the Events Page for scheduled workshops, field trips and or special activities at either location.

  • The public is welcome to visit both locations and sign up to be a member! ATTENTION!! If you are a new, or even old member, and you haven't been receiving our club emails for a while, please contact us with your email address so that we can make sure our records are correct! We want every member to be well informed! Thank you!

    Membership

    Membership is open to anyone 18 years old or older that is residing in Lake Havasu, or surrounding areas, full time, part-time and/or visits Lake Havasu City on a regular basis! New members are voted in at the next General Meeting of the Club, so if you don't receive emails right away from lakehavasgmsociety@gmail.com, please refer to this website for the latest news and events until you do.

    Junior membership shall be granted to persons between the ages of 12 and 18 years.

    An application may also be obtained at any of our monthly meetings which begin in September and end in May. We do not have meetings in the summer. We meet on the second Friday of every month at
    Mt. Olive Lutheran Church
    2170 Havasupai Blvd.
    Social time starts at 6:30 with meetings starting at 7:00 pm.
